Baptism
Baptisms: Since the easing of Covid-19 restrictions, Baptisms in St Anne’s are on the 3rd Sunday of each month, up to 4 children per ceremony.
Please complete the Baptism registration form below and email to the parish office with your requests for baptism and we will be in touch. Thank you for your patience at this difficult time.
Requests and inquiries regarding marriage, including requests for Baptism, Confirmation, Freedom to Marry certificates and Pre-Nuptial inquiries should also be emailed to: stannes@downandconnor.org
For baptism to take place at St Anne’s it is important that you are currently living in St Anne’s Parish or if not actually within the geographical area of the Parish, that you express your belonging to the Parish by registering with and contributing to it. Otherwise your parish is considered to be the one geographically where you now live. In this case you should arrange for your child to be baptised in the parish where you are currently living. Having once attended schools in this Parish does not constitute membership of the Parish.
ONLY IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES e.g. WHERE YOU ARE RESIDENT ABROAD, OR AT A LONG DISTANCE FROM FAMILY MEMBERS MIGHT THIS BE WAIVED. IN THESE SITUATIONS YOU MUST OBTAIN A LETTER FROM YOUR HOME PARISH PRIEST AGREEING TO YOUR CHILD BEING BAPTISED IN ST.ANNE’S PARISH, in this way encouraging you to make contact with the Parish in which you are living.
The application form should be completed and returned at least FOUR WEEKS before the proposed date of baptism, along with a full birth certificate.
